The vCAS service has been set up at pace to support the urgent care health system to help manage / ease the increasing pressures on all services over winter months, the service has been very successful and therefore the service has been extended to run until 31st March 2024. We have also provided additional services when there have been junior doctor and nursing strikes. The service is delivered by GPs who will remotely assess, treat or triage to relevant service. The service will accept referrals from primary care (GP practices) across Bexley and 111.

​Hours of operation: The service runs Weekends (Saturday and Sundays) and all bank holidays (exc Christmas day) from 9am to 5pm.

• ​COVID positive Children under 5  

• End of life patients requiring visits  

• LTC follow up appointments   

• Repeat prescriptions 

• Sick notes
